Photobooth Strip

Jordan & Luke immortalised in a photobooth strip.

The title says it all, the effect i was looking for was a photobooth strip and i think it came out quite well.

Buddy Poleroid

Buddy the Labrador has gone to pieces.

I used a poleroid template i'd previously made to make this picture. by cutting the original image into several sections and moving them slightly to create the effect of a number of poleroid pics..

Steve Dean

This image was restored for the mother-in-law, its a picture of her son who sadly passed away in 2002. He was starring in a school production of Artful Dodger at the age of 14 when this picture was taken.

The difficulty with images like this, its easy to make the facial features look odd, when the damage to the image is in this area. It took a while to ensure the facial features were correct, before i continued to repair the remaining damage. Once i'd done this, a slight adjustment layer to darken the image was used.

White Portrait

To produce this effect i firstly selected the eyes and adjusted the hew and saturation to highlight the eye colour, i then duplicated the image layer so i could desaturate the image to black and white. Then a levels adjustment layer was used to give a brighter/whiter feel, before adding a soft white vingette.

iShadow

It's time......

Was trying to make it look a bit scary, so had to wipe the smirk off my face in this one.

Family Portrait 2010

I wanted to mark the start of 2010 with a family portrait as the kids seem to grow up overnight.

I took the individual pictures, then worked them together to create the portrait.

Sunshine

I took this picture of my son just after Christmas, thought i would treat it to a bit of Photoshop.

I'd already made the poleroid effect using Photoshop for another project, so all i needed to do was produce the orange/yellow layer, applying a radial gradiant. Once that was completed i added the picture of my son.

I was pleased with the end result.

Sparky

This is "Sparky" our family Cat , who sadly passed away at the grand old age of 17 on the 8th Feb 2010.

Matt & Sam

I did this restoration for the mother-in-law as she had a very small picture of two of her grandchildren. The picture had faded over the years so a levels adjustment of the RGB channels fixed that.

There were a number of very light scratches that needed fixing, also the image was expanded to a 4x6 print.

Making the image larger is always a trade off to image quality as the image becomes grainy, which this has suffered from. However, overall, i think it better than a tiny image.

Mrs Gadeke

This was the wife when she was 4 years old. It was a reasonably simply restoration which included removing the background and the crease across the middle.

Buddy

This is Buddy the Labrador, our family Dog. I took this photo with my Sony A350 and a carrott, well I had to get him to stand still.
